Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darren Dos Santos (ranked 4982 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Romero (ranked 6102 p4p, 0 weight class). Dos Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Right Above It. Carlos Romero will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Dos Santos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Romero tries to clinch up.
Dos Santos tries to counter with a takedown but Romero is quick to defend against it.
Dos Santos stuffs the takedown attempt from Romero. Romero gets slowly back to his feet.
Dos Santos appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Dos Santos closes the distance and pushes Romero back into the cage.

Dos Santos tightens his grip and picks Romero up, before dumping him to the ground. Romero manages to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dos Santos's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Dos Santos is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Romero has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dos Santos is working away from the top position though.
Romero is looking to get back to full guard here but Dos Santos has managed to pass to side control instead.
