The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Winston closes the distance and clinches.
A head punch on the inside from Moralez fails to land.
Winston throws a knee to the head but misses.
Moralez doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Moralez swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Winston tries a knee to the head but Moralez blocks it.
Winston throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Moralez blocks it with crossed arms.
Moralez tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Winston's elbow.
Winston prevents a body shot from Moralez.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Moralez misses with a short punch on the inside.
Winston goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Moralez swings wildly with an uppercut but Winston uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Winston works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Moralez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Winston has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Winston lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Winston sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Moralez's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Winston has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Winston prevents Moralez from getting the reversal.

After the fight, Piney Winston was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
