The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry darts in trying to clinch

and Hooper decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Perry's guard.
Hooper is standing up over Perry. Perry looks to escape but Hooper dives into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Perry is looking to get back to his feet here but Hooper is keeping cool and he's managed to take Perry's back.
Perry can't escape the position.
Hooper really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Perry.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hooper has the hooks in. Perry is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Hooper passes his arm under Perry's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Perry taps!
