The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Athram ducks right into an uppercut from Tsavieva.

Athram walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tsavieva smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Tsavieva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tsavieva connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Athram throws a body shot but no joy.
Athram misses the shot to the body.

and Athram connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Tsavieva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Athram.

Athram blocks a jab.
Athram is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Tsavieva with a body shot.
Tsavieva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Athram throws out the jab.

Athram forces Tsavieva back against the ropes and clinches.

Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Tsavieva blocks an uppercut.
Athram tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Tsavieva is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Athram is keeping busy.

Athram jumps guard and drags Tsavieva to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Athram wants to sweep here but Tsavieva controlling him for the moment.

Athram has an active guard here but Tsavieva has managed to pass into half guard.
Athram is not content to let Tsavieva control the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Ferele Athram.
