The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barbaro has managed to clinch.
Barbaro lands a body punch in the clinch.
Thomson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Barbaro prevents it.
Thomson is breathing heavily.
Barbaro lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Thomson backwards.
Barbaro lands an uppercut.
Barbaro lands a shoulder strike.
Barbaro lands a body punch in the clinch.
Thomson is trying to pull guard but Barbaro has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barbaro lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

It looks like Darren Thomson has been cut.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Barbaro.
A body shot lands from Barbaro.
Barbaro is pressed up against the cage. Thomson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Barbaro down to the mat. Barbaro avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darren Thomson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Barbaro drops Thomson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Barbaro follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
