Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toby Keith Yrkje (ranked 4747 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Junior (ranked 4664 p4p, 476 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Yrkje might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to As Good As I Once Was. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Toby Keith Yrkje!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pablo Junior!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior tries to clinch but Yrkje is having none of it.
As Junior looks to move away, Yrkje throws a big counter combo but Junior just gets out of the way.
Junior lands a head kick. Yrkje smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Toby Keith Yrkje has been cut.
Junior feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Yrkjes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Junior lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Junior scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Junior stuffs the takedown.
As Yrkje backs off Junior throws a huge counter combo but Yrkje manages to avoid it all.
The fight stays on the outside here - Junior looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It looked like Yrkje was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Junior closes the distance and clinches.
Yrkje takes an elbow to the temple.

Yrkje decides to pull guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Yrkje tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Junior presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Yrkje seems to have got his legs back now.
Junior wants to control the pace but Yrkje is squirming around nicely.
Junior lands a couple of good shots and Yrkje has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Even with his hooks in, Junior manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Junior really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yrkje. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Junior throws strikes from the back but Yrkje rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Yrkje.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Junior got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yrkje has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Junior has managed to get both his arms back between Yrkje's legs - danger averted.

Yrkje looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Yrkje tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Junior leaves Yrkje with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Junior feints a jab promting Yrkje to slip. Junior then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Yrkje slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Yrkje has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Junior.

Yrkje utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Yrkje had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Junior defends it easily.

Yrkje in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Junior tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Yrkje!
