The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyx misses with a few strikes there.
Gerome fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gerome throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gerome moves into the clinch.
Gerome has Nyx pressed against the cage, preventing Nyx from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Gerome pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gerome ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nyx moves away.
Gerome misses with an uppercut. Nyx saw that one coming.
Nyx keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gerome.
Gerome moves into range and clinches up with Nyx.

Gerome escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nyx moves out of range as Gerome strikes.
Gerome tries to close the distance and clinch but Nyx swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nyx misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gerome was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Gaur Gerome has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacques Nyx.
Nyx looks winded!
Gerome scores with the left hand. Nyx knows he should have avoided that one.

Nyx lands a head kick. Gerome smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Gerome takes the fight into the clinch.

Gerome digs a right hand underneath Nyx's ribcage. Nyx let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Gerome makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Gerome's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Nyx throws a hook but Gerome avoids it easily.

Nyx lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

Gerome lands a nice shot to the body.
Gerome pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A jab from Gerome misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Gerome misses the target.
Gerome connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nyx momentarily.
Gerome lands a big uppercut and Nyx crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Nyx looks OK. Gerome waves Nyx back to his feet!
Nyx is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nyx circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Gerome. Nyx falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Gerome!
