Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vinchito Routerhead (ranked 6123 p4p, 539 weight class) and D B Cooper (ranked 6229 p4p, 544 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Vinchito Routerhead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, D B Cooper!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Routerhead moves out of range as Cooper strikes.
Routerhead is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Cooper.
Cooper misses with a straight left.
Routerhead slips a jab and a cross from Cooper.
Cooper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Routerhead moves away.
Routerhead changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Cooper misses with an uppercut

and Routerhead holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Routerhead.
Routerhead manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Routerhead seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Cooper fails to pull guard.
Cooper wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cooper throws a knee to the head but misses.
Cooper is looking to break free of the clinch but Routerhead has double underhooks.

Cooper tries a head kick but it misses.

Routerhead gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Cooper fails to pull guard.
Routerhead is stalling here.
Routerhead has Cooper pressed against the cage.

Cooper with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Routerhead's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Cooper has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Routerhead is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Vinchito Routerhead has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of D B Cooper.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Routerhead for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Cooper throws a leg kick that is checked

and Routerhead counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Routerhead cracks Cooper with a solid left hand.
Routerhead lands a couple of elbows.
Routerhead with a nice head shot there.
Routerhead lands a couple of digs.
Cooper is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Routerhead stands up over Cooper, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Cooper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Routerhead. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cooper trying to keep a closed guard but Routerhead is proving a slippery customer.

Routerhead distracts Cooper with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Routerhead is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Routerhead stands and throws Cooper's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Routerhead is chipping away with strikes.

Routerhead lands a big left to the face of Cooper, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Routerhead and another - Cooper is out! Routerhead stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.
