Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Veljko Bakocevic (ranked 6511 p4p, 468 weight class) and Henson Benderson (ranked 2670 p4p, 0 weight class). Benderson has chosen The Time is Now as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Veljko Bakocevic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Henson Benderson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakocevic takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bakocevic shoots in for a takedown but Benderson shows good takedown defense.
Bakocevic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Benderson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Benderson slows down the pace here.
Benderson landing knees to the head.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Benderson putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Bakocevic in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Benderson is pressed up against the cage. Bakocevic has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Benderson down to the mat. Benderson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Veljko Bakocevic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bakocevic has his takedown stuffed
and Bakocevic takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Benderson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bakocevic misses with a jab to the body
enabling Benderson to counter with a crisp jab.
Bakocevic darts in looking for a takedown but Benderson gets double underhooks and turns Bakocevic into the cage.

Benderson closes the distance and pushes Bakocevic back into the cage.
Benderson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Benderson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Bakocevic goes for a takedown attempt but Benderson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bakocevic takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Bakocevic looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Bakocevic closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Benderson's guard.

Benderson uses the cage to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Benderson lands a left and a right that send Bakocevic crashing to the mat, dazed. Benderson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Bakocevic is rocked!

It looks like Veljko Bakocevic has been cut.
Bakocevic gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Benderson counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!

Henson Benderson really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Brooklyn Apothecary logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
