Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Faustin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jill Lovelace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominic Faustin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Faustin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lovelace's guard.

Lovelace is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lovelace keeping moving, preventing Faustin from controlling successfully.
Faustin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lovelace swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Faustin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lovelace not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lovelace can do anything to dispel that myth.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Faustin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lovelace to the mat! Lovelace manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Faustin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Faustin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lovelace defends it well.

Faustin darts in and clinches Lovelace up against the cage.

Faustin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Faustin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Faustin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Faustin stands up and waves to Lovelace to follow him.

Faustin scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Faustin feints and as Lovelace raises his hands in defense, Faustin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Faustin cracks Lovelace with a solid left hand.
Faustin pushes down on Lovelace's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lovelace looks gassed!

Faustin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Faustin is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Faustin is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Lovelace is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Lovelace flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Faustin anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Lovelace and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Faustin slips an arm under Lovelace chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Faustin has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Faustin is squeezing on Lovelace like an anaconda would it's prey. Lovelace fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
