Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stank Zatsch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yero Bassole!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Eliza Hachem and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zatsch shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Zatsch was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bassole sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zatsch content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Zatsch blocks the strikes from Bassole.
Bassole is doing well to control the position and prevent Zatsch from advancing to side control.
Zatsch controlling the action here.
Zatsch seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bassole for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zatsch's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bassole wants to improve his position but Zatsch is controlling well.
Zatsch is controlling the pace.

Zatsch is looking for a kimura but Bassole is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Zatsch to get the leverage.
Bassole tries to get to full guard but Zatsch has control of the leg.
Zatsch content to control rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Zatsch works his way into side control.

Zatsch in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Bassole is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
