The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamad ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A jab lands there for Hamad.

Hamad is looking to clinch.
Swift tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Swift looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Swift manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Hamad knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Swift on the ground.
Hamad tries to stand and escape but Swift is controlling the position.

Swift is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hamad pulls his head out easily.

Swift is looking for a sweep. Hamad is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Swift has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hamad is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hamad is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Swift manages to get to full guard.
Swift is pulling down on Hamad's head. It's preventing any offense from Hamad, at least for the moment.
