Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Moody (ranked 5790 p4p, 463 weight class) and Eddie Mild (ranked 5806 p4p, 464 weight class). Aaron Moody could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Eddie Mild's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Moody!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Mild!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moody.
Moody throws a wild body kick that Mild sees coming a mile off.
Mild swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Moody shoots in but Mild avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mild shoots for a takedown but Moody saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Moody misses with a two punch combination.
Mild swats away the attempt to clinch by Moody.
Mild avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mild darts in and clinches Moody up against the cage.

Mild ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mild no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Mild pulls Moody in to control the position.
Mild looking to hit a scissor sweep but Moody is one step ahead there.

Mild is pulling down on Moody's head. It's preventing any offense from Moody, at least for the moment.
Moody wants to control from the top but Mild keeps moving.
Mild pulls Moody in close to prevent any damage.
Mild throws a couple of heel strikes.
Mild is looking to stand up but Moody isn't so interested in that idea.
Moody wants to pass the guard but Mild is keeping the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mild shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Moody's guard.
Mild is looking to work some ground and pound but Moody has wrist control.
Mild working some strikes from top position.
Moody trying to keep a closed guard but Mild is proving a slippery customer.
Mild keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Moody's head.

Moody is working an open guard so Mild takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Mild connects with a body shot that sends Moody's belly button to the back.
Mild throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mild looks for a takedown but Moody sprawls well.

Mild shoots for a double leg takedown but Moody sprawls well. He's pushed Mild's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Aaron Moody has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Mild.
Moody tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mild swivels and escapes.
Mild fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Moody avoids it really well and circles away.
Moody tries to clinch there but Mild circles away.
Moody ducks right into an uppercut from Mild.

Mild controlling the action here.

Moody is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mild slows the pace down in half guard.
Moody moves into full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mild is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Mild throws a big right hand that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Mild is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Moody's half guard.
Mild not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Mild is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Moody has managed to free his arm - good work.
Mild is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Mild prevents Moody from improving his position.

Mild is taking a breather. Moody says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Moody trying to hold on to Mild's head to control him but Mild postures up.
Mild thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Moody wants to get back to his feet.
Mild seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Ground and pound from Mild.
Mild tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Moody is looking for a sweep. Mild is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mild is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Mild prevents Moody from standing back up.
Mild moves nicely into side control.
Moody wants to control but Mild postures up.
Moody is looking for a sweep.
Moody seems a little lost for a moment, as Mild dominates the positioning.
Mild has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mild will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mild darts in and clinches Moody up against the cage.

Mild gets control of Moody's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mild will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Mild keeping moving, preventing Moody from controlling successfully.
Moody trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Moody wants to stand but Mild has his arm trapped.

Mild tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Moody wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Eddie Mild has got the better of the ground game so far.
Moody is trying to move to mount but Mild reverses beautifully and ends up in Moody's guard.
Mild controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Moody wants to stand up but Mild is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eddie Mild showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Moody shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mild as he jumps to the side.

Mild fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Moody, pushing him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Moody's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Mild pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mild stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mild wants it to stay on the feet.
Mild throws a leg kick but Moody sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Moody tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mild swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mild slaps away a takedown attempt from Moody, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaron Moody. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Moody leaves Mild with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Moody is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mild.
Moody throws a right and a left that both miss.

Mild misses with a head kick.
Moody fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mild slaps away a takedown attempt from Moody, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mild darts in and clinches Moody up against the cage.

Mild has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Moody is trying to keep an underhook but Mild manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Mild is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Moody tries to get to full guard but Mild has control of the leg.
Mild is pressing down on Moody's thigh, looking to free his foot. Moody is holding on for now.

Mild decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Moody dives in and grabs Mild's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mild pushes down on Moody's head and hops out.
Moody checks the leg kick nicely there.
Moody seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Moody looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mild is fending him off so far but Moody persists. Nope, Mild circles away and we're back to standing.

Mild moves into the clinch.

Moody escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mild avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Mild closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Moody is looking to get back to is feet but Mild passes into side control.
Mild controls the position from side control.
Mild gets to mount! Moody was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mild raining down shots from the mount!
Mild is landing with some decent strikes but Moody is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Moody wants to hold on but Mild pushes him away.
Mild prevents Moody from getting the reversal.
Mild unloading with bombs!
Mild controlling his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mild has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mild lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.


Moody is rocked!

And that's the end of the fight!
Eddie Mild comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mild has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
