Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Cole (ranked 1111 p4p, 736 weight class) and Corey Smith Jr (ranked 152 p4p, 104 weight class). Cole comes to the cage accompanied by I Won't Back Down. Smith Jr has chosen You Will Know My Name as his entrance music. Corey Smith Jr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Corey Smith Jr!

Cole displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smith Jr throws out the jab.
Cole shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith Jr tries to sprawl out of it but Cole keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith Jr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A nice side step and Smith Jr releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cole accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Cole has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

It looked like Cole was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Smith Jr.
Cole throws a low kick but Smith Jr moves out of range easily.

Cole is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smith Jr can do to turn this around?

Smith Jr lands a big head kick that sends Cole tumbling to the mat! Smith Jr takes a step backwards and waves Cole back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Michael Cole has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith Jr. Cole does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cole goes for a double leg but Smith Jr avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Smith Jr continues to drive forward.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cole scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Smith Jr doesn't seem bothered though.

Smith Jr cracks Cole with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Smith Jr has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Cole to stand back up!

Oh Cole is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
