Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sufyan Amin (ranked 4187 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamza Showaikh (ranked 3537 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sufyan Amin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hamza Showaikh!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Showaikh gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Amin to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Showaikh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Amin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Amin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Showaikh is looking for a triangle but Amin pushes his legs off easily.

Amin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Showaikh has his foot on Amin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Amin works his way back into a safe position though.

Showaikh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Amin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Amin postures up in Showaikh's guard and throws a big left but Showaikh blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Amin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Showaikh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Amin has managed to get both his arms back between Showaikh's legs - danger averted.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Amin and the ref steps in to end the fight! Amin can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
