The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yilmaz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Morales did well to prevent Yilmaz getting side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morales is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Yilmaz scores with a couple of nice shots.

Yilmaz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Yilmaz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Morales for as long as he can get away with.

Yilmaz is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Morales has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Morales is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.

Yilmaz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Morales has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Yilmaz off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Yilmaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Morales wants to stand but Yilmaz has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Yilmaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Morales can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Yilmaz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Yilmaz tries to get out of the position.

Yilmaz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Morales looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Morales is trying to defend against the choke here but Yilmaz has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Yilmaz Tightens the hold and Morales taps out furiously! Yilmaz displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
