Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hans Richter (ranked 2670 p4p, 267 weight class) and Bryant Smith (ranked 2384 p4p, 251 weight class). Smith has chosen Television - Marquee Moon as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryant Smith!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith moves out of range of the strikes.
Richter takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Smith misses with a hook.
Richter misses with a head kick.
Good leg kick by Richter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Richter throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range.
Smith walks into a straight right hand from Richter.

Richter moves into range and clinches up with Smith.
Richter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A short right from Smith on the inside.
Richter lands with a right to the head.
Richter can't break the clinch.
Richter scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Richter.
Smith lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith throws a punch but it's blocked by Richter.

Richter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Richter misses with a looping left.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Richter looks to land a left hand but Smith moved out of range nicely.
Richter throws a poor cross that misses
and Smith counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Richter.
Smith misses the shot to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Richter misses the target.
Richter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Richter cracks Smith with a right hand to the side of the head.
Richter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Richter somewhat.
Richter throws a right and a left that both miss.
Richter on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Richter tries to bum rush Smith with a series of wild strikes but Smith uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Smith on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Bryant Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Richter lands a nice shot to the body.
Smith lands a nice shot that snaps Richter's head back.
Hans Richter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Richter swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Smith.
Smith tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Richter throws a combination that misses
and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Smith throws a push kick but Richter slaps the foot to one side.
Richter swings for the body but Smith moves out of range.
and Smith counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Richter! He's just covering up as Smith starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

After the fight, Bryant Smith was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
