PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JT Warwagon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins comes into the arena with Ready to Die Andrew W.K blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins misses with a straight right.
Jenkins throws a big shot that misses.
Jenkins throws an overhand right that lands on Warwagon's shoulder, as Warwagon tries to avoid the shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Warwagon.
Warwagon tries to clinch up but Jenkins circles away and keeps his distance.

Warwagon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Jenkins is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Warwagon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Jenkins wants to get back to full guard.
Warwagon tries to stand and escape but Jenkins is controlling the position.
Jenkins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jenkins is trying to maintain the position but Warwagon is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Warwagon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Warwagon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jenkins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jenkins misses with a hook.
Warwagon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jenkins misses with a few strikes there.

Warwagon shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jenkins tries to roll over but Warwagon keeps him under control.
The fighters are battling for position here. Jenkins manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Warwagon is looking to work some ground and pound but Jenkins has wrist control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Warwagon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jenkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Warwagon moves in looking to clinch but Jenkins pushes him off.
Warwagon shoots in for a double leg but Jenkins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Leroy Jenkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JT Warwagon.
Warwagon slips a jab and a cross from Jenkins.
Warwagon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jenkins throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jenkins misses with a wild body shot.
Jenkins cracks Warwagon with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jenkins has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Warwagon to stand back up!

It looks like JT Warwagon has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jenkins connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Warwagon tumbling to the canvas! Jenkins pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Warwagon was done - good stoppage!
