Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manco Capac (ranked 4438 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Houtman (ranked 2888 p4p, 0 weight class). Capac kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Iggy Pop - The Passenger. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capac looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Houtman is fending him off so far but Capac persists. Nope, Houtman circles away and we're back to standing.
And Houtman tries to counter it with a takedown but Capac pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Capac tries a head kick but it misses.
Capac blocks a head kick by Houtman.
Capac misses with a takedown attempt - Houtman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Houtman wants to counter the offense by Capac and move into the clinch position.
Capac avoids the head kick by Houtman.
Capac has managed to clinch.
Houtman is looking to control Capac's arms but Capac gets an underhook and turns him. Now Houtman has his back to the cage.

Capac keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Houtman's efforts to push away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Houtman is trying to break the clinch but Capac is controlling him.
Capac blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Houtman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Capac walks away with a smile on his face. Houtman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Houtman tries for a takedown. No joy.
Houtman can't break the clinch.
Capac decides to pull guard.
Capac lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Houtman is trying to control the position but Capac postures up.
Capac trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Houtman keeping moving, preventing Capac from controlling successfully.

Capac pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Houtman is keeping the position for now.
Capac forces his way into half guard.
Capac not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Capac seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Houtman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Houtman tries to kick Capac off but Capac keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Houtman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Capac. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Houtman kicks Capac off and gets back to his feet.
Capac wants to land a leg kick but Houtman is out of range.
Houtman misses with a low kick.
Houtman falls off balance throwing a combination
and Capac counters with a crisp one two that drops Houtman! Capac thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Houtman to his feet! Houtman is in big trouble!
Houtman is rocked!
Capac tries to score a power double leg takedown but Houtman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Capac somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manco Capac. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Capac is defended easily by Houtman.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Houtman. Those never looked like landing.
Houtman misses with a body kick.
Houtman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Capac moves out of range of the body kick from Houtman.
Houtman throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Capac fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Houtman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Capac.
No joy there for Houtman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
As Houtman looks to move away, Capac throws a big counter combo but Houtman just gets out of the way.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Capac shoots in but no luck this time.
Houtman tries to counter by closing the distance.
Capac is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Houtman dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Capac will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Capac walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Houtman checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Nice takedown defense from Houtman. No joy for Capac on that attempt.

Houtman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Houtman wants it to stay on the feet.

Houtman is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Capac to keep the fight standing.
Capac wants to get back to striking at distance but Houtman won't allow it.

Houtman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Houtman lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Capac has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Capac and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Capac tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Houtman manages to circle out of the way.
Houtman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Capac takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Houtman looks to land a combination but Capac avoids it well.
Capac gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Houtman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Capac walks away with a smile on his face. Houtman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Capac is trying to break the clinch but Houtman has him pressed against the cage.
Houtman is pressed up against the cage. Capac has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Houtman down to the mat. Houtman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Houtman tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Capac is able to avoid easily.

A close second round but Peter Houtman will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Capac gets control of Houtman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Capac will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Houtman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Capac is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Houtman gets tackled into the cage by Capac. Capac maintains the clinch.
Capac escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Capac tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Houtman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Houtman is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Houtman misses with a two punch combination.
Peter Houtman seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Houtman throws a lazy head kick
and Capac counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Houtman throws a combination. Capac tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Capac dodges the punch combination from Houtman.
Houtman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Capac moves out of range as Houtman throws a body kick.
Capac shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Houtman as he avoids it easily.
Peter Houtman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Capac throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Houtman's waist but Houtman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Capac off to one side.
Houtman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Manco Capac has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Peter Houtman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Houtman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that's the end of the fight!
Manco Capac showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Houtman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
