Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willy Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Popeye Mcgrady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Another one bites the dust. Mcgrady has chosen Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcgrady looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Thompson striking off his back but it's not causing Mcgrady any problems.

Thompson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcgrady gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mcgrady avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Mcgrady is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Mcgrady is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mcgrady wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thompson keeps working.

Mcgrady is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thompson defends it well.

Mcgrady stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thompson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mcgrady tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mcgrady has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mcgrady has an Americana. Thompson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mcgrady is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mcgrady hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
