Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tommy Lennox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pat Mycock!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lennox tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mycock swivels and escapes.
Lennox shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mycock as he avoids it easily.
Nice takedown defense from Mycock. No joy for Lennox on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Lennox. That's going to take a lot out of him.

so Lennox counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lennox might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lennox keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mycock's head.
Mycock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lennox. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mycock can do anything to dispel that myth.
An elbow from Lennox crashes against the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Mycock counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Lennox tries to lock up and control but Mycock gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Mycock swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lennox is now in Mycock's guard. A big mistake from Mycock there, giving up the dominant position!
Mycock seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Mycock wants to sweep but no luck.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lennox trying to control the position from guard on top but Mycock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Mycock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mycock keeping moving, preventing Lennox from controlling successfully.

A close round but Pat Mycock will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Mycock counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Lennox is trying to get back to full guard.
Lennox wants to control but Mycock is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mycock prevents Lennox from improving his position.
Mycock tries to stand and escape but Lennox actually recovers to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mycock must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mycock is wriggling around but Lennox manages to pass to half guard.

Lennox throwing shots but Mycock is blocking nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mycock keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Pat Mycock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Mycock counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lennox's guard now.

Lennox has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mycock off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mycock tries to clinch there but Lennox circles away.

Mycock changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lennox looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pat Mycock has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lennox throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Mycock decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lennox to his feet.

Mycock is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lennox has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mycock is looking to defend but Lennox has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mycock! Lennox pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mycock taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Tommy Lennox!
