Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edmond Honda (ranked 1294 p4p, 54 weight class) and Jimmy Nickels (ranked 2822 p4p, 76 weight class). Honda's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, E. Honda Stage Theme Extended. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Nickels as Honda shoots in.
Honda uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nickels.
Nickels leaves Honda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nickels lands a jab.
It looks like Edmond Honda has been cut.
Honda misses with an uppercut.
Honda takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Nickels cracks Honda with a right hand to the side of the head.
Honda throws a head kick but Nickels moves out of range.

Nickels rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Honda moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Honda has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Honda is looking for a triangle but Nickels pushes his legs off easily.
