The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCollum pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Madison tries a head kick but it misses.

McCollum darts in and clinches Madison up against the cage.
Madison jumps guard but McCollum stands there with Madison around his waist. Madison gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Madison is trying to stall.

McCollum breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Madison shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McCollum's guard.

McCollum has his feet on Madison's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Madison tries to clinch there but McCollum circles away.

McCollum fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Madison sprawls well initially but McCollum persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

McCollum is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Madison is holding on to half guard well.

McCollum looks to score with a jab to the body but Madison is just out of range.

McCollum gets the takedown into side control.

McCollum has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Madison works to full guard.
