Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Konstantin Smolyakov (ranked 4671 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Armando Hernandez (ranked 5408 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smolyakov tries to clinch up but Hernandez circles away and keeps his distance.
Hernandez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hernandez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Hernandez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Smolyakov's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hernandez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hernandez throws a big elbow that misses.
Smolyakov wants to sweep but no luck.
Hernandez postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Hernandez lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Smolyakov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hernandez.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hernandez throws a strike but Smolyakov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hernandez pushes Smolyakov off and scrambles back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smolyakov wants to clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Hernandez. No joy for Smolyakov on that attempt.
Hernandez lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Konstantin Smolyakov has been cut.
Hernandez scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Hernandez throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Smolyakov crashing down! Smolyakov tries to stagger back to his feet but Hernandez just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Smolyakov asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jose Armando Hernandez!
