The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson Jr closes the distance and clinches up with Donegan, looking for a takedown. Thompson Jr pushes Donegan against the cage but Donegan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Donegan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Thompson Jr doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Donegan counters with a nice uppercut.

The fight stays on the outside here - Thompson Jr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Thompson Jr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Donegan defends it nicely.
Lonnie Donegan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Thompson Jr.
Thompson Jr leaves his chin hanging out and Donegan seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Thompson Jr crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
