Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Patrick (ranked 4468 p4p, 361 weight class) and Krisis Gudlevskis (ranked 4570 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patrick moves into the clinch.
Patrick jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gudlevskis walks away with a smile on his face. Patrick gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Patrick has closed the distance and engaged Gudlevskis in a clinch.
Patrick comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like Krisis Gudlevskis has been cut.
Gudlevskis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Patrick is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Patrick jumps guard but Gudlevskis stands there with Patrick around his waist. Patrick gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Gudlevskis is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Patrick. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gudlevskis misses with some punches.

Patrick decides to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gudlevskis wants to get up but he can't break Patrick's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Patrick wants to stand and escape but Gudlevskis is having none of it.

Patrick pulls Gudlevskis in to control the position.

Gudlevskis trying to control the position from guard on top but Patrick is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gudlevskis passes Patrick's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Patrick wants to control the action here but instead Gudlevskis manages to pass to full mount!
Patrick is looking to get to half guard.
Gudlevskis thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Patrick is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Patrick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gudlevskis on the ground.
Patrick tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Gudlevskis lands a couple of good shots and Patrick has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Patrick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Patrick is trying to defend against the choke here but Gudlevskis has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Gudlevskis Tightens the hold and Patrick taps out furiously! Gudlevskis displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
