Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bozo Susec (ranked 23453 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Columbus (ranked 4150 p4p, 0 weight class). Susec is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Susec is looking to clinch but Columbus is avoiding it.
Susec is breathing heavily.
Susec fails with a takedown attempt.

Columbus rushes Susec and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Susec is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Columbus to keep the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Columbus has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Susec is trying to keep an underhook but Columbus manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Columbus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Columbus tries to pass to full mount but Susec defends it.
Well, if Columbus is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Columbus looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Susec on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Columbus looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Columbus decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Columbus throws a head kick that misses.

Columbus shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Columbus was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Columbus remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Columbus decides to stand back up.

and Columbus counters with a single leg into guard. Susec didn't expect that.
Columbus keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Susec's head.

Columbus misses with an attempted mid kick.
It appears Susec was looking to counter with a kick there.
Susec moves out of range of the leg kick from Columbus.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Columbus tries to bum rush Susec with a series of wild strikes but Susec uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Columbus drops Susec with a beautiful combination! Susec stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Columbus is looking for the KO!

Susec is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Susec loses concentration momentarily and Columbus pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Susec crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Columbus finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
