The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Francis DeMontford and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith clinches up against the cage.
Chigurh is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Smith gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Chigurh tries to pull guard but Smith holds him up against the cage and eventually Chigurh drops back down to his feet.

Ronald Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anton Chigurh.
Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Chigurh.

Chigurh tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smith smiles and moves away.
Anton Chigurh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chigurh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but Chigurh persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chigurh is defended easily by Smith.

Smith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Chigurh lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Chigurh postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Smith keeping full guard, as Chigurh tries to pass.
Chigurh pushing down on Smith's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Smith on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chigurh connects with a nice short shot to Smith's temple.

Chigurh is nestled in close to Smith, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Smith is rocked!
Chigurh lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Smith quite badly. Smith pulls Chigurh in close trying to recover. Chigurh postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Smith on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Smith doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anton Chigurh!
