The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirk bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tawaivuna's head backwards.
Tawaivuna closes the distance and clinches up with Kirk, looking for a takedown. Tawaivuna pushes Kirk against the cage but Kirk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kirk is looking for the big counter here.
Tawaivuna on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Tawaivuna shoots for a takedown but Kirk saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tawaivuna.

Kirk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tawaivuna gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kirk counters with a low kick, right behind Tawaivuna 's knee.
Tawaivuna tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Tawaivuna seems to have got his legs back now.
Kirk lands a nice shot to the body.
Tawaivuna really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kirk tests Tawaivuna's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kirk turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kirk throws an overhand right that drops Tawaivuna like a sack of potatoes! Kirk dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

James Kirk decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
