And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Roddy Piper!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piper tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Early lands an overhand right.
Early drops Piper with a big left hand and mounts him. Piper is in big trouble!

Piper is rocked!

It looks like Roddy Piper has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Early controlling his opponent.
Early's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Early has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jubal Early just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Early lands a nice leg kick that just misses Piper's sensitive parts.
Piper looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Early clinches up against the cage.
Early wants to break the clinch but can't.
The referee calls for Early to work.
Early is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Early pressing his opponent against the cage.
Piper jumps guard but Early stands there with Piper around his waist. Piper gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Early prevents the takedown attempt.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Early.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jubal Early.
Early looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Early lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Piper sprawling to the canvas. Early follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Piper hang on?
Piper is still in real trouble! Can Early finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Early perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Piper seems to have recovered his senses.
Early uses his free foot to push down on Piper's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Piper.
Early tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jubal Early dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Roddy Piper's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Piper moves forwards but Early connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Piper avoids a punch combination nicely.
A head kick lands from Early that sends Piper to the canvas. Piper tries to scramble back to his feet but Early brings him back down into side control.

Piper is rocked!
Early is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Piper can do to turn this around?
The referee asks Early politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Early prefers to stall for the moment though.

Piper closes the distance but Early moves to the side
and Early scores with a counter punch that sends Piper to the canvas! Early smells blood - he's punishing Piper with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Piper has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
