Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Homer Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blade Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns's entrance music is Remember the Name. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Kongo staying out of range there.
Kongo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kongo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Burns throws a big shot that misses.
Kongo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Burns throws a hook to the side of Kongo's head but Kongo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Burns throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kongo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burns is fending him off so far but Kongo persists. Nope, Burns circles away and we're back to standing.
Homer Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Burns throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Burns tries to bum rush Kongo with a series of wild strikes but Kongo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Burns stuffs the takedown.

Kongo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burns tries to avoid it but Kongo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burns to the ground. Burns escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kongo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Burns.
Kongo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burns's waist but Burns gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kongo off to one side.
Burns tries to clinch but Kongo is having none of it.
Burns is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Burns's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Burns throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Burns counters with a right hand to the body.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Burns throws a hook to the side of Kongo's head but Kongo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Burns connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kongo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Burns counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kongo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Burns feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Burns tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Kongo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kongo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Kongo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Burns lands a really nice looking cross but Kongo seems unphased.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
