Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hamoud Mohammed (ranked 4448 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Ricky (ranked 4795 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hamoud Mohammed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eddie Ricky!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mohammed bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ricky's head backwards.
A punch lands to the side of Ricky 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ricky tries for a takedown but Mohammed sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ricky or perhaps it was just good defense by Mohammed, which made it look bad.
Ricky moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Mohammed leaves Ricky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hamoud Mohammed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Ricky.
Ricky moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mohammed is trying to push Ricky away but Ricky has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Ricky prevents Mohammed from breaking the clinch.
Ricky keeps control of Mohammed as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ricky is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mohammed pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Mohammed has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ricky is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mohammed is trying to push Ricky away but Ricky has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Mohammed misses with some punches.
Ricky's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ricky moves forwards but Mohammed connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mohammed keeps the fight on the outside.
Mohammed swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Mohammed misses with a series of wild punches.
Ricky moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Ricky shoots for a takedown but Mohammed saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nice sprawl there from Mohammed as Ricky shoots in.
Ricky takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ricky tries to clinch but Mohammed moves out of range.
Mohammed was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ricky throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ricky walks into a left hand.
Ricky looks to land a combination but Mohammed avoids it well.
Mohammed just misses with a punch to the body.
Ricky tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mohammed swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ricky has managed to clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ricky decides to pull guard.
Ricky trying to control the position here.
Ricky working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mohammed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mohammed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ricky looks winded!
Ricky utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mohammed throws an elbow that misses. Ricky uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mohammed's guard. Nice move by Ricky!
Ricky wants to control from the top but Mohammed keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mohammed wants to stand up but Ricky is controlling him.
Mohammed trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Mohammed is striking off his back. Ricky thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Mohammed has his hands clasped together around Ricky's back. He's all about the action.
Mohammed knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ricky on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mohammed wants to sweep but Ricky has passed to side control!
Mohammed is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Ricky scores with punches from side control.
Ricky trying to control the action but Mohammed is working from the bottom.
Ricky lands a nice forearm strike.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mohammed is trying to buck Ricky off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Hamoud Mohammed will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Mohammed scores with a shot to the body.
Ricky throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ricky shoots in but no luck this time.
Mohammed displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ricky lands a knee to the body.
Ricky has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Mohammed is trying to keep an underhook but Ricky manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mohammed is looking to escape.
Mohammed wants to improve his position but Ricky is controlling well.
Ricky passes to side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ricky decides to stand back up.
Mohammed clobbers Ricky with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Donk. Mohammed catches Ricky right on the button with a cross.
Mohammed fails to land with a series of punches.
Ricky let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Ricky closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mohammed quickly recovers to half guard.
Ricky has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mohammed is trying to reverse the position but instead Ricky has taken his back - oops!
A lull in the action here.
Ricky lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mohammed is trying to stand back up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mohammed staying busy and making it hard for Ricky to control.
Ricky has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Mohammed! Can he survive? No! He's out! Ricky gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Eddie Ricky!
