Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between OMG Zulud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Via Dios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zulud comes into the arena with Bullet For My Valentine - Hit The Floor blaring out of the sound system. Dios has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Via Dios!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zulud loads up on a big right hand but Dios slips the punch.
Zulud fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dios ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Zulud stuffs the takedown.

Zulud throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dios drops back, looking for a kneebar! Zulud looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Zulud looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Zulud!
Zulud is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Dios's shoulder. That is not cool.
Dios tries to bench press Zulud off him but Zulud keeps the position.
Zulud remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Zulud dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dios. That did some damage!

Dios is working to tighten is grip on Zulud's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Zulud has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dios is really squeezing tight and eventually Zulud passes out! Dios breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
