Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mika Sakine (ranked 4481 p4p, 0 weight class) and Perti Jetson (ranked 4476 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mika Sakine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Perti Jetson!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sakine has Jetson up against the cage in a clinch.

Sakine breaks from the clinch.
Sakine keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sakine tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jetson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sakine somewhat.
Jetson misses with an uppercut.
Sakine half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Sakine uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jetson.

Jetson tries to sprawl but Sakine drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Sakine controlling the action here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jetson wants to control but Sakine is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sakine seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jetson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Jetson is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
No luck for Sakine with that takedown attempt.
Perti Jetson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sakine fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jetson sprawls well initially but Sakine persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Sakine is looking for a kimura here.
Jetson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Sakine prevents Jetson from improving his position.

Sakine wants to advance to full mount but Jetson doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Sakine controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jetson has control of Sakine's left arm, preventing Sakine from doing any damage.
Sakine throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jetson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Jetson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Sakine moves into range and clinches up with Jetson.
Jetson jumps guard but Sakine turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sakine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sakine throws a head kick but Jetson moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sakine looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jetson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sakine as he avoids it easily.
Mika Sakine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Perti Jetson.
Jetson looks to land a left hand but Sakine moved out of range nicely.
Sakine looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sakine slaps away a takedown attempt from Jetson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sakine went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Jetson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sakine pinned against the cage. Sakine gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sakine connects with a nice looking jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mika Sakine dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sakine throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jetson to regain full guard.
Sakine working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jetson wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jetson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jetson wants to control from the top but Sakine keeps moving.
Jetson is stalling in the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jetson throwing strikes but missing.

Sakine has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jetson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sakine.
Jetson cracks Sakine with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The referee asks Jetson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jetson prefers to stall for the moment though.

Jetson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sakine is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sakine is trying to improve his position.
Check out the look on Jetson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jetson grinds an elbow into Sakine's temple.

Jetson scores with a couple of short elbows.

Jetson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sakine rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jetson's guard! Nice work there by Sakine!
Jetson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Sakine is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jetson can do to turn this around?
Sakine won't allow Jetson to sweep him here.
Sakine has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jetson holds on and takes a little breather.

Mika Sakine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sakine works over Jetson with some ground and pound from guard.

Sakine is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jetson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jetson has escaped and now he's on top!

Sakine bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jetson's guard.

Jetson pulls Sakine in close to his closed guard and prevents Sakine from doing any damage or advancing position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jetson is on top in guard.

Sakine not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jetson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jetson lands a couple of digs.
Jetson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Jetson cracks Sakine with a solid left hand.
Jetson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sakine swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Perti Jetson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Sakine's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Sakine tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Sakine wants to control his opponent's hands but Jetson gets his hands free.

Jetson is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Sakine won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Jetson off his unconscious opponent!
