PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Merchant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Satoru Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Merchant kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is DMX - Intro. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Satoru Sakurai!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Merchant as he jumps to the side.
Merchant lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Sakurai shoots for a takedown but Merchant saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Merchant drops Sakurai with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sakurai looks back up at him and smiles so Merchant waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Satoru Sakurai has been cut.
Sakurai looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big left from Merchant misses.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Merchant.
Merchant throws a big shot that misses.
Are you kidding me?! Merchant ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Sakurai clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
