Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Harpreet Singh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Singh.

Johnson moves into range and clinches up with Singh.
Singh has a couple of punches blocked by Johnson.
Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Johnson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Singh regains guard.

Singh is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Johnson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Singh trying to keep a closed guard but Johnson is proving a slippery customer.
Johnson chips away with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Singh looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Singh looking to control but Johnson passes into half guard.
Johnson content to control rather than advance.
It looks like Johnson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Johnson maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Singh could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Johnson has cracked it and Singh is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Johnson!
