Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Carvaleho (ranked 1174 p4p, 146 weight class) and Drapton Heed (ranked 1965 p4p, 229 weight class). Drapton Heed told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvaleho moves away from the strike by Heed.
Heed swings widly with a right hand

and Carvaleho counters with a takedown into side control.

Carvaleho tries for a kimura but Heed is defending well.

Carvaleho is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Heed has escaped the position, nice work there.
Heed tries to buck Carvaleho off but Carvaleho is having none of it.
Carvaleho controlling from side mount.

Carvaleho is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Heed knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Carvaleho is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Heed looks calm but he's in trouble here. Carvaleho gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Heed is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Carvaleho lets go of the hold and Heed can pop his arm back in it's socket.
