The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nochi closes the distance and clinches up with Vydaniya, looking for a takedown. Nochi pushes Vydaniya against the ropes but Vydaniya circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vydaniya is looking to counter the offense by Nochi and move into the clinch.

Nochi gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nochi stalls.
Nochi stalling in the clinch but Vydaniya improves position.

Vydaniya breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nochi is looking to clinch.

Nochi moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vydaniya is working for takedown but Nochi is calmly controlling the position for now.
Nochi tries to stall but Vydaniya uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Vydaniya is working Nochi over against the ropes.
Nochi is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Vydaniya is trying to break the clinch but Nochi is controlling him.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Vydaniya wants the takedown. Nochi is fighting it off but Vydaniya persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Nochi's guard against the ropes.
Nochi wants to get back to his feet but Vydaniya is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Vydaniya throws a big right hand that misses.
Vydaniya has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Vydaniya stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nochi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nochi pulls Vydaniya in close to prevent any damage.

Nochi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vydaniya stacks Nochi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vydaniya!
Vydaniya creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nochi sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Nochi regains half guard there - taking advantage of Vydaniya's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vydaniya lands a nice short elbow.
Vydaniya is nestled in close to Nochi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Vydaniya stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Nochi clinches up with Vydaniya and pushes him back against the ropes.

Vydaniya's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nochi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Vydaniya defends it nicely.
Nochi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vydaniya swivels and escapes.
Dos Vydaniya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spokoynoy Nochi.
Nochi tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Vydaniya counters with a left and a right that stings Nochi.
Nochi moves in looking to clinch but Vydaniya pushes him off.
Vydaniya feinted with a counter takedown.

Nochi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vydaniya swivels and escapes.

Vydaniya has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Vydaniya wants to sweep here but Nochi controlling him for the moment.

Nochi trying to control the position from guard on top but Vydaniya is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nochi throws a big elbow that misses.
Nochi has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at ubergym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Nochi is looking to stand up but Vydaniya won't let him.
Nochi wants to pass the guard but Vydaniya is keeping the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Nochi stopping the sweep attempt from Vydaniya.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vydaniya avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vydaniya swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Nochi darts in looking for a takedown but Vydaniya gets double underhooks and turns Nochi into the ropes.
Vydaniya throws a big counter combination but Nochi scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Nochi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vydaniya swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Vydaniya tries to keep at a distance but Nochi has taken the fight into the clinch.
Vydaniya has Nochi pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Nochi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Vydaniya pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Vydaniya tries to counter with a takedown but Nochi is quick to defend against it.
Nochi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nochi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vydaniya as he avoids it easily.
Vydaniya half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Nochi wants to clinch.

Nochi has closed the distance and engaged Vydaniya in a clinch.
Vydaniya wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nochi has him pressed against the ropes.
Nochi is looking to control Vydaniya's arms but Vydaniya gets an underhook and turns him. Now Nochi has his back to the ropes.
Vydaniya gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Vydaniya fails to pull guard.

Vydaniya tries for a takedown but Nochi manages to get underhooks.

Vydaniya breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Vydaniya counters with a single leg into guard. Nochi didn't expect that.

Nochi feints and as Vydaniya raises his hands in defense, Nochi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

enabling Vydaniya to counter with a crisp jab.
Vydaniya leaves Nochi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Vydaniya throws a big counter combination but Nochi scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nochi tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Vydaniya manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dos Vydaniya showed his dominance in that final round.

Balgav tries to sprawl but Le Boulder drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Le Boulder seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Balgav for as long as he can get away with.
Le Boulder passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Balgav!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Le Boulder takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Balgav can do anything to dispel that myth.

Le Boulder has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Balgav looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Le Boulder tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Balgav is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

Le Boulder is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Balgav is in real trouble.

Kakuto changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brown looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Brown tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Brown looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Kakuto is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Brown is trying to defend against the choke here but Kakuto has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Kakuto Tightens the hold and Brown taps out furiously! Kakuto displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Zuki throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Geri on the side of the head.

Geri throws a head kick but Zuki moves out of range.
Zuki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Geri.
Geri dives in for a single leg takedown but Zuki sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.

Zuki manages to break the clinch.

and Zuki counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Geri! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Zuki !
