The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rikishi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Le Boulder.
Rikishi attempts a counter takedown but Le Boulder avoids it well and moves away.

and Le Boulder counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Rikishi wants to get back to his feet but Le Boulder passes into half guard.
Rikishi is trying to escape back to his feet but Le Boulder uses the scramble to pass into side control.

It looks like Le Boulder might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Le Boulder has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rikishi is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Le Boulder yanks on the arm and Rikishi is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Le Boulder.

Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Balgav looks to land a right hand but Brown moved out of range.
Brown throwing a counter right hand but Balgav manages to avoid it.

Brown tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Balgav steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Balgav shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense.

Balgav throws a right and a left that both miss.
Brown was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Balgav closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brown circles away.
Brown throws a big counter combination but Balgav scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Brown takes a swing at Balgav's ribcage but misses.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tsuyoi Kakuto (ranked 1685 p4p, 5597 weight class) and Zhandouji Quantou (ranked 67 p4p, 222 weight class). Kakuto kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Gorillaz-Dirty Harry. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

We've been hearing good reports from Kakuto's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Quantou wants to control but Kakuto is keeping busy.

Quantou is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kakuto is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Quantou is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Quantou is not content to let Kakuto control the position.
Quantou wants to get back to full guard.
Quantou has a hand on Kakuto's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kakuto takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Quantou felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Quantou is trying to reverse the position but instead Kakuto has taken his back - oops!
Quantou wants to escape the position.
Quantou really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kakuto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Quantou is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Kakuto has his arm under Quantou's chin here. Game over son! Kakuto squeezes tightly and Quantou is forced to tap out!
