The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dall Jr tries to work over Haudegen's front leg with a kick but Haudegen checks it.
A jab from Haudegen finds it's way through Dall Jr's defenses.
Dall Jr keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Haudegen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Haudegen misses with an uppercut.
Dall Jr attempts a counter takedown but Haudegen avoids it well and moves away.
Galen Dall Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Haudegen scores with a punch to the head.
Haudegen walks into a stiff left hand from Dall Jr.
Haudegen takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Dall Jr with a nice calf kick.
Dall Jr misses with an uppercut. Haudegen saw that one coming.
The fighters circling - Dall Jr throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Haudegen tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Dall Jr throws out a leg kick but Haudegen moves out of range and Dall Jr only half commits.

A nice leg kick lands there from Dall Jr.
Haudegen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dall Jr throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Haudegen on the side of the head.
Haudegen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Dall Jr walks into a jab.
A nice leg kick from Dall Jr, right into the meat of the thigh.

Dall Jr gets a clinch.
Dall Jr pushes Haudegen back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Dall Jr softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Haudegen jumps into guard, dragging Dall Jr to the mat.
Dall Jr trying to control but Haudegen is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dall Jr wants to pass the guard but Haudegen is keeping the position.

Dall Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Haudegen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dall Jr lying in Haudegen's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Haudegen decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Dall Jr taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

A decent looking body kick lands there for Karjalainen.

Karjalainen lands a left and a right that send Steve crashing to the mat, dazed. Karjalainen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Stoner Steve has been cut.
Some wild striking there from Karjalainen.
Karjalainen throws a body kick that misses.
A little feinted left hand from Steve on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Karjalainen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steve moves away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Steve takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Karjalainen tries to land a front kick but Steve steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Karjalainen scores with a jab to the head.
Karjalainen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Karjalainen throws a monster overhand right that drops Steve! Karjalainen follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karl Karjalainen!
After the fight, Karl Karjalainen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
