Leefs wants the takedown. Ranger is fighting it off but Leefs persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ranger's guard against the cage.

Ranger is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Leefs has his hands clasped together but Ranger extends and breaks Leefs's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ranger.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Zima rushes Fury and presses him up against the cage.
I was talking to Fury's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Zima has clasped his hands together around Fury's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Zima has hold of Fury's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Fury tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Zima cranks the arm and Fury screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Fury, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
