Nee takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Nice uppercut lands for Nee. That snapped Ascheulov's head back.
Ascheulov finds Nee's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Nee flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Ascheulov lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Nee will be OK.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Evans has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

We've been hearing good reports from Kakuto's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Kakuto takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jacira enables Kakuto to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jacira manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Jacira is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Kakuto celebrates the victory with the fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Tsuyoi Kakuto!
A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Tsuyoi Kakuto made sure he mentioned Fantasy Threads, along with how happy he was to win his fight.

Main event

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Roberto (ranked 1267 p4p, 2148 weight class) and Tommy Walcott (ranked 121 p4p, 182 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Roberto might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Samba de Roda. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Walcott's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Roberto connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Walcott scrambles back to his feet.
