A decent looking cross lands there for Shimada.
Reynolds staying out of range there.
Shimada shoots for a double leg takedown but Reynolds sprawls well. He's pushed Shimada's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Reynolds seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Reynolds lands with a hook. Shimada tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Reynolds connects with the punch.
Reynolds catches Shimada with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Shimada misses with a body shot.

Reynolds shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Shimada wants to improve his position but Reynolds is controlling well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reynolds slips a nice elbow through Shimada's hands, connecting with Shimada's forehead.
Shimada has a hand on Reynolds's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Reynolds takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Buzz Bullard decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
