The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Button throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ichirou connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
 It looks like Benjy Button has been cut.
Button misses with the combination.
Ichirou looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ichirou jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ichirou throws a looping overhand right but Button ducks down to avoid it.
Button shoots for a double leg takedown but Ichirou sprawls well. He's pushed Button's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Button closes the distance and clinches up with Ichirou, looking for a takedown. Button pushes Ichirou against the cage but Ichirou circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Button tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ichirou sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Button somewhat.

Button shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ichirou pinned against the cage. Ichirou gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Askren dives in for a single leg takedown but Roberto sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Roberto is pressed up against the cage. Askren has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Roberto down to the mat. Roberto avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
