The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crusader swings away with a body shot that misses

and Pain holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Pain manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Pain is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well, if Pain is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Crusader content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Pain has locked up a guillotine! Pain's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Crusader is holding on here and Pain must be using up a lot of energy. Crusader has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Pain gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Braddock tries to move into range but Burger moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Burger throws the left hand but Braddock avoids the punch easily.
Braddock lands a head shot.
Braddock has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas in the buildup to the fight.
Braddock throws a combination that misses
and Burger counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Braddock is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Braddock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Burger let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Burger has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Braddock takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Oh Braddock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
James Braddock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Braddock seems to have got his legs back now.
Braddock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Braddock misses with a jab, cross combination.
Braddock takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

A nice side step and Burger releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Burger stuns Braddock with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Burger moves away from the strike by Braddock.
A good leg kick by Burger.
Burger throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Braddock sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Braddock swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Burger counters with a three punch combo that has Braddock backing up. Braddock nods at Burger to acknowledge the strikes.
Burger looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Braddock misses with a shot to the body
and Burger counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Braddock looks to land a combination. Burger sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Burger blocks a jab.
Braddock misses with a hook. Burger ducked under it nicely.
Braddock looks to land a combination but Burger avoids it well.
Braddock scores with a hook to the body. Burger takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Braddock fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Burger looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
No joy there for Braddock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Burger looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Braddock scores with a sloppy right hand. Burger should have avoided that one.
Burger's corner calls for a 1-2. Burger obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Braddock lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burger circles away quickly and effectively.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burger uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Braddock.

Burger dodges the punch combination from Braddock.
Braddock rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Burger cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Burger counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Burger is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Braddock.

and Burger counters with an inside leg kick.
