Shewmaker pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gazersky back to the cage. Shewmaker follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Marlon Gazersky has been cut.
Gazersky throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shewmaker seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Gazersky swings for the body but Shewmaker moves out of range.
Shewmaker wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
No joy there for Shewmaker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gazersky enables Shewmaker to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gazersky manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gazersky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shewmaker manages to get himself to full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vurris doesn't manage to clinch there - Kirin circles away.
Kirin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Vurris shoots in looking for a takedown. Kirin tries to sprawl out of it but Vurris keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kirin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A nice side step and Vurris releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Kokkoro Kirin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Vurris shoots in for a double leg but Kirin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kirin is looking to counter punch.
Vurris lands with a slapping head kick.
Vurris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kirin but Kirin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Vurris looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kirin slips a jab and a cross from Vurris.

Kirin throws the kick towards the body but Vurris avoids it.

Kaori finds Luciano's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Luciano flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Kaori lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Luciano will be OK.
