And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 19 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anti Half Assed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lemieux ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Lemieux moves forwards but Half Assed connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Half Assed connects with a nice looking jab.
Half Assed throws a looping overhand right but Lemieux ducks down to avoid it.
Half Assed slips a jab from Lemieux.
Half Assed misses with a hook.
Anti Half Assed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lemieux jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Half Assed looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Lemieux misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Half Assed.
Half Assed lands a really nice looking cross but Lemieux seems unphased.

Lemieux throws a body punch but Half Assed moves out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Half Assed throws a jab but it's blocked by Lemieux.

The fighters circling - Lemieux throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Half Assed! But no joy.

Half Assed misses with a jab, cross combination.
Half Assed stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Lemieux doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Half Assed uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lemieux.
Half Assed throws a hook to the side of Lemieux's head but Lemieux sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Half Assed shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lemieux napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Lemieux tries to improve position but can't.
Half Assed taking a break here but Lemieux is having none of it and regains half guard.

Lemieux manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Lemieux wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Half Assed missing with a left hand there. Lemieux was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Half Assed throws a hook but Lemieux avoids it easily.
Lemieux is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

and Half Assed counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Half Assed goes for a double leg but Lemieux avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lemieux continues to drive forward.
Half Assed punishes Lemieux's body with a nice straight punch.
Lemieux displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Half Assed throws out the jab.
Half Assed's corner calls for a 1-2. Half Assed obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

The fighters circle momentarily. Half Assed darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Half Assed keeps the fight on the outside.
Half Assed misses with a looping right.
Lemieux is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Half Assed.
A swing and a miss from Half Assed.
Lemieux throws a lazy right hand but Half Assed sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Half Assed misses with a looping left.
Half Assed scores with a hook.
Lemieux keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Half Assed.
Half Assed is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lemieux sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Lemieux has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Half Assed cracks Lemieux with a good jab.

Half Assed walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Lemieux drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Half Assed swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Lemieux's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

A left and a right from Philippe both land. Nice combination.
Philippe feints a jab promting Officer to slip. Philippe then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Officer slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Officer misses with a right hand
and Philippe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Officer wants to get back to striking at distance but Philippe won't allow it.
Philippe misses with the head strike.
Officer is trying to push Philippe away but Philippe has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Officer wants to break free but Philippe has control.
Officer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Philippe misses with a short punch on the inside.
Officer's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Philippe gets through Officer's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

and Philippe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Philippe cracks Officer with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Philippe has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Officer to stand back up!
Officer is still on wobbly legs! Can Philippe finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Officer throws an off balance right hand
and Philippe scores with a counter punch that sends Officer to the canvas! Philippe smells blood - he's punishing Officer with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Officer has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peguero Jean Philippe!
Peguero Jean Philippe really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Pound Town INC logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
