That was a close round but Renoa Gracie did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Gracie has Apollo up against the cage in a clinch.

Gracie swings wildly with an uppercut but Apollo uses good head movement to avoid it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Apollo tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gracie is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Gracie is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Apollo is surviving well by controlling Gracie's body position as best he can.

Gracie seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Apollo for as long as he can get away with.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gracie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
