Kelly wants to get back to his feet.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Altieri connects with a nice short shot to Kelly's temple.
Kelly is looking to escape.

Altieri is nestled in close to Kelly, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Kelly pushes Altieri off looking to stand but Altieri dives back in and keeps control.
Altieri seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Altieri is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Kelly manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Altieri keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Altieri tries to land knees in the clinch but Kelly avoids the damage to the body.
Kelly is trying to break the clinch but Altieri has him pressed against the cage.
Kelly is looking to break free of the clinch but Altieri has double underhooks.

James shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
James is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
James works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

James is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hooper wants to control but James is keeping busy and won't allow it.

James gets the takedown into side control.
James remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

James has hold of Hooper's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hooper tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - James cranks the arm and Hooper screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hooper, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
