The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smoke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Scherzer moves away.
Scherzer shoots in looking for a takedown. Smoke tries to sprawl out of it but Scherzer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smoke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Smoke seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Smoke sends Scherzer crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Smoke is motioning to the referee to let Scherzer up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
